Functional Consultant (Freelance)

As an ERP Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for understanding business requirements, configuring ERP systems, and providing solutions to meet the client's needs. You will work closely with clients to understand their business processes and provide guidance on best practices to optimize their ERP systems. You will also be responsible for conducting system testing, identifying and resolving issues, and providing training and support to end-users.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Understand and analyze business requirements and provide functional solutions to meet the client's needs.
- Configure and customize ERP systems to meet client requirements, including system setup, master data management, and transactional processes.
- Develop functional specifications and design documents, including business process flows, system requirements, and test plans.
- Conduct system testing and identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Provide end-user training and support, including developing training materials and providing hands-on training sessions.
- Collaborate with technical consultants to ensure system integrations and customizations meet client requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, and manage client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide guidance on best practices for ERP systems, including business processes and system optimization.
- Work with project managers to ensure project timelines and budgets are met, and project deliverables meet client expectations.
- Participate in pre-sales activities, including client presentations and product demonstrations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to ERP systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration, or a bachelor’s in accounting.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in ERP implementation and functional consulting.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, including SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Experience in configuring and customizing ERP systems to meet client requirements.
- Strong knowledge of business processes and best practices related to ERP systems.
- Experience in conducting system testing and identifying and resolving issues.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Experience with project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
